Personal series in collaboration with food stylist Peta O'Brien who conceptualised and styled the project based on personal experience. The images show precision and strength juxtaposed with apprehension and I love them.
Jonathan wanted to see if he could create natural phenomenon in an enclosed and controlled environment. This process turned his workspace into more of a mad scientists lab than a studio, with bottles, hose pipes and jugs of water. Each water shot required a different technique to achieve the desired result, and each phenomenon needed far more water and physical space for the water to move in to naturally create the shapes, than the actual containers would allow.
