Tom Bunning was delighted to be invited to Lords Cricket Ground earlier this year. His images soak up the atmosphere of the tours at the Lords Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). Lords is the most famous Ground in the world, steeped in over 200 years of history and tradition. It's also the keeper of the Laws of Cricket and the art, history and evolving cultural identity of the Game at all levels.
Stunning personal still life work from Phil Fisk in association with Vicky Twyman combining biology and food. Inspired by the visual language of cellular photography, they built their own internal dreamy, fleshy, fruity world where colour meets texture.
These studies were based upon trainee tattoo artists working on pork flesh before moving to human commissions as pig skin is anatomically similar to that of humans. In this personal series, Jonathan wanted to suggest that the animal has been tattooed prior to being slaughtered. He now has a great relationship with his butcher who believes Jonathan is a very adventurous cook. Currently Jonathan's taking a break from eating pork.... and musing on the ethics of factory farming.
