A left over prop skull was transformed by time lapse, and stylist Vic Twyman, over several days in lockdown.
Phil commented on the project that, “the edit started to border on horror but was eventually rested in somber reflection. I hope. And it was all achIeved in a garden shed… except the edit.”
The beautiful soundtrack was created by Phil’s mate Alan Fairnie.

A few words from Phil…
“The entire project was shot under during the lockdown but after restrictions had been lifted to allow some industry return. Inevitably some of these restrictions would limit what we could achieve but instead I chose to turn this on its head and make these barriers part of the story.
The project was a response to the pandemic, alluding to the concept of being apart but still remaining connected.
The direction of the film was simple - to leave the dancers opportunities to improvise in the space we had created. There is a meeting, a build up to the connect and inevitably a parting.
The sound designer Ali Friend came on board after we sent him the edit. The heartbeats create a rhythm to the film with the two beats building and going in and out of synch as the film progresses. Ali perfectly captured the “space “ that the dancers exist in…making that space seem larger and deeper than it was in reality.”

PHIL FISK explores the theme of 'SEPARATION' on a LOCKDOWN SHOOT at PARK VILLAGE STUDIOS in London.
The entire project was shot during the lockdown (but after restrictions had been lifted to allow some industry return), and was conducted under AOP / APA Covid-19 Guidance.
Our amazing team conducted an all remote casting, remote fitting of wardrobe and socially distanced pre-light and shoot.
A full Health and Safety Risk Assessment was carried out (which was continually refined according to the most recent safety requirements) incl. health declarations and temperature checks.
We established clearly defined job roles and spaces for all the team on pre-light and shoot.
All attendees were required to wash their hands regularly throughout the day and hourly cleaning of kit was carried out.
Our makeup artist and stylist wore full PPE when interacting with models and for all other team members social distancing was imperative. We set up a remote feed to team members working externally.
The focus was very much on careful planning and ensuring safe shooting conditions for all.
We're absolutely delighted with the results!

Back in 2014 Joseph Ford created a project with the assistance of amazing knitter Nina Dodd.
They decided to focus on the idea of a CORONAVIRUS lurking in wait for a human encounter, so Nina and her friend Sue creating a giant knitted microbe for the purpose.
At the time, when Joseph showed people his work, most were unfamiliar with the concept but now his images feel horribly relevant…

"PaperBoy" was over 2 years in development. His suit took over a year to create using many rolls of paper, glue and tape (as well as a good deal of blood sweat and tears!). The shoot took place over 2 days on location in Brighton with locals stopping for selfies on the beach with the extraordinary blue Paperboy!
Our amazingly calm and patient model Sid, spent 2 days sealed inside his paper suit, unable to hear (or see properly) through the close-fitting mask. At one point almost taking a wrong turn into the sea which would have been disastrous!

Joseph's "knitted camouflage" project with Nina Dodd has now been published by Hoxton Mini Press as a beautiful hard-back book entitled 'Invisible Jumpers'. The book features 25 pieces of bespoke knitwear worn by humans, dogs and bananas alike - blending seamlessly into their surroundings thanks to more than 1000 hours of knitting and endless hours lining up the camera for the perfect shot.
Phil explores aspects of portraiture in motion with these carefully observed pure, simple and very beautiful studies of Yvonne and George.

Seth Globepainter is one of the world’s best known street artists. For the last 15 years he has been working around the theme of childhood. Joseph met him when they were artists in residence at MAUSA museum of street art in Alsace last year (Joseph photographed him infront of his work THOR which you can see in his folio.)
Seth had painted a series of murals around the Marché des Batignolles in the 17th in Paris, all based on children’s books which were the perfect backdrop for another playful portrait in Joseph’s Knitted Camouflage series.

New from Joseph from his Knitted Camouflage series. Joseph and his collaborator knitter Nina Dodd spotted the perfect location near Brighton, then Nina used 1950’s swimming costume patterns for that authentic itchy woollen feel to these rockpooling costumes.
Delighted to share this wonderful new personal project 'Bronze Age' by Chris Floyd featuring the beautiful Hannah Gillespie. Superb bronzing skills by make up artist Caroline Barnes which included painting these delicious freckles and amazing sunny summer hair by Charley Mcewen. Let's hope for an Indian Summer this September and get back to the beach!
A colourful ongoing personal project by Phil Fisk inspired whilst building his new studio and office space. Working with Mark, a carpenter and builder (and a Goldsmiths Fine Art Graduate), Phil began to appreciate the aesthetic properties of his trade and the materials and tools Mark used whilst around the building. This grew into documenting all the tradespeople who came to work on the new studio. The textures and colours of their tools and materials dictated how Phil then composed the portraits.
Summer holiday has started and it can only mean one thing. Pony Club Camp = more rosettes than you can shake a stick at, being able to dismantle a bridle in under 10 seconds and spending oodles of time with other people who love ponies just as much as you. Wonderful personal series from Chris Floyd.
