Chris Floyd X Kellie French - And Begin

Flock are delighted to share new work from our recent commission for midlife skincare brand AND BEGIN featuring photography by both CHRIS FLOYD and KELLIE FRENCH 🙌✨.

The 2 photographers collaborated to create a body of imagery articulating the spirit and ethos of the brand, including portrait photography of brand 'champions’ by CHRIS; with complementary still life photography of product and ingredients by KELLIE.

With set design by the wonderful OLIVIA CLIFFORD, styling by the amazing SASHA BARRIE, and art direction by our lovely KELLIE FRENCH, we were able to bring continuity of colour palette, tone and texture, ensuring a complementary look and feel throughout the images.

Huge thanks to And Begin for this lovely commission, to all our awesome team including our fabulous real models, for a wonderful shoot in every respect.

Phil Fisk - Observer / Kano + Kaluuya

Oscar winner – and now director, DANIEL KALUUYA – and rapper and Top Boy star KANE ROBINSON, aka KANO, are longtime friends. Photographed together here by PHIL FISK for OBSERVER on the release of their new movie, dystopian thriller THE KITCHEN (in selected cinemas and on Netflix).

Phil’s stunning portraits capture the intensity of these two outstanding actors, as well as a hint of the mischief that comes with their close friendship 🙌✨

 

Phil Fisk - Observer / Thurston Moore / Sonic Youth

Phil Fisk recently captured these beautiful portraits of US indie-rock band Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore at his home in south London for Observer.

Moore is “now officially a grand old man of American indie rock – though as (his recently published autobiography), Sonic Life attests, his youthful enthusiasm for all things rock’n’roll remains relatively undimmed”.

We are loving the mood and tones of this series. Super lovely work 🙌

 

Chris Floyd - RES (Renewable Energy Systems)

RES (Renewable Energy Systems) commissioned Chris Floyd to capture this wonderful film on location in Sweden. 

It focusses on a groundbreaking project in the Ånge region to produce hydrogen energy using wind power as the source, and features local people and members of the RES team, highlighting the role of green hydrogen in the fight against climate change. 

Chris has worked regularly with RES for over a decade, creating a wealth of compelling photography and over 20 films!

They are one of many clients with whom he has nurtured a close creative relationship, and who trust him to deliver beautifully crafted imagery to communicate their brand ethos 🌱. 

Chris Floyd - Telegraph / Jim and Jane Swire

CHRIS FLOYD shot these beautiful portraits of Dr Jim and Jane Swire for TELEGRAPH.

Their daughter, Flora, was killed on Pan Am Flight 103, which exploded over the border town of Lockerbie, 38 minutes after take off from London to New York on 21st December 1988.

Jim and Jane’s experience is documented in LOCKERBIE, a 4-part drama now airing on SKY, exploring what they see as a “35 year-long miscarriage of justice”.

Such poignant portraits - congratulations Chris and all involved.

The wonderful CHRIS FLOYD was commissioned to shoot this series of portraits of KEIR STARMER for the cover of Winter 2023 ESQUIRE, and to accompany a feature by Alex Bilmes on Keir’s “fight to transform his party from repeat election loser to Britain’s next Government”.

“My first column started with the line, “It has been a good week for flavour,” and 3 decades later Nigel and his beautiful recipes are still a sumptuous source of inspiration and flavour in our kitchens.

CHRIS FLOYD recently photographed Chinese contemporary artist, documentarian and activist AI WEI WEI 艾未未 , whose art is variously described as PROFOUNDLY MOVING, POWERFUL, POLITICAL and PROVOCATIVE.

Big thanks to P for the wonderful commission and to all the team who helped create these beautiful and poignant portraits 🙌.

Also featured here is Chris’s image of Ai WeiWei’s TREE (one of several artworks bearing the same name) - “a monumental sculpture assembled from the dry, dead branches, roots and trunks of numerous species of tree, such as camphor, cedar and ginkgo, that Ai Weiwei gathered from across the mountainous southern region of his native China”.

PHIL FISK was commissioned by AUSTRALIAN to capture these striking portraits of FORMULA ONE’s rising star 22 year old OSCAR PIASTRI, who races for MCLAREN and achieved his first podium finish last weekend whilst racing at the SUZUKA circuit in JAPAN.

CHRIS FLOYD recently spent a day photographing - and hearing amazing stories from - actor JANE SEYMOUR. She has been in an incredible 100+ movies - achieving early fame playing psychic Bond girl SOLITAIRE opposite Roger Moore’s 007 in “LIVE AND LET DIE”.

PUBLICIS WORLDWIDE commissioned JOSEPH FORD to shoot the worldwide launch campaign (motion and photography) for NESCAFE’s Barista style, ready-to-drink coffees - Cappucino, Americano and Latte Caramel.

Joseph captured film and stills featuring some super talented dancers flipping and somersaulting through the studio as well as slo-mo coffee closeups.

Phil Fisk - Old Vic X Observer X Patsy Ferran

Super nice behind-the-scenes footage captured by THE OLD VIC during PHIL FISK's recent cover shoot with PATSY FERRAN for OBSERVER.

PYGMALION, in which Patsy takes the starring role of Eliza Doolittle, opens on The Old Vic stage this month.
